Date: August 31th, September 1st and 2nd, 2016.
Place: CTBE/CNPEM Auditorium – Campinas, Sao Paulo.
Registration: Free of charge, from July 10th to 29th, 2016.

Metabolomics emerge as an analytics approach to quantification and indentification of different molecules’s classes of low molecular weight (MW < 1500Da), presents in a biological system. It allows a global vision of cellular functions, once it reflects directly the fisiological state of a cell. Its wide range of applications covers multiple research areas, as evaluation of genetictly modified organisms, functional genomics, environmental answer, metabolics engineering / synthetic biology and quantitative genetics.

The Workshop on Metabolomics, promoted by CTBE between August 31th and September 2nd, is going to provide a wide view of key issues in metabolomics analyzes, that goes from experimental draw to data interpretation. In this context, theorical and pratical activities are going to be offered, besides discussions on crutial themes in this technology use. The course is designed for researchers, post-docs and PhD students who has used or plan to us Lab Met.

Except to introduction lectures (August 31th, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), the other workshops’s activities will be limited to 25 participants that will be selected after the closing of registration. To practical activities it is advised that the participant have notions of R.
